Industrial Electrician
The successful candidate will be available to work any shift:
1st shift (6:30am-2:30pm)
2nd shift (2:30pm-10:30pm)
3rd shift (10:30pm-6:30am)
Electricians perform the following duties:
• Dismantles, installs, assembles, troubleshoots, repairs, aligns and maintains electrical and mechanical controls and devices on upsetters, shears, blasters, conveyors, extrusion presses, PLC’s and other related equipment.
• Performs building maintenance.
• Installs and maintains electrical devices, compressed air, natural gas, water and sewer lines within the facility.
• Performs preventive maintenance on assigned equipment within the facility.
• Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Installs robot and selects program.
• Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit.
• Performs minor repairs such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches.
• Performs non-load bearing, basic welding tasks.
Electricians must be self-directed, able to apply skills and education to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery and apply sound judgment at all times on the job. Must demonstrate consistent and strict adherence to safety procedures.
The successful candidates will also possess the following qualifications:
• A minimum of four (4) years of education or six (6) years equivalent work experience in the field of Electrical Maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude. Requires satisfactory completion of Electrical Skills Test.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair by using test instruments, schematics or ladder logic.
• Experience with RS Logix/Allen Bradley PLC’s.
• Experience with ABB/Motoman/Fanuc controls and robots preferred.
• Thorough working knowledge of lock/out tag/out and arc flash.
• Must be familiar with and able to apply the National Electrical Code.
• Ability to bend conduit with minimal assistance.
• Ability to Weld, apply sound welding principles and safe operating procedures.
• Must have own tools.
Starting pay is over $26/hr and medical, dental, and vision benefits start on the first day.
